Victoria English is a enthusiastic triathlete who is excited about the '09 season with Ark Intervals. She is from Clarks Summit, Pa but currently resides in the Art Museum area of Philadelphia. She works as a Registered Nurse in a surgical truama intesive care unit. Her running career began as she joined her college cross country team at Gwynedd- Mercy College. She than decided that she would like to run a marathon and entered in many different distances of running races. She ran a 3:34 at the Philadelphia Marathon in '08 which than qualified her to run the Boston Marathon this year. Victoria began competeing in triathlon last year and quickly fell in love with the sport. She went on that year to take first place in her age group at the blackbear sprint, northeast olympic triathlon, and the anthracite triathlon. She took 4th overall woman in the Brierman Triathlon, and 3rd woman overall in both the Chilly cheeks and Ugly mudder trail runs. This season so far she has competed in the American triple T taking first coed junior team and winning her age group in the Blackbear sprint triathlon again. Victoria's goal this year is to race fast, stay positive and always cross the finish line smiling. Victoria's main concentration for the summer are half ironman distances such as the Musselman, Steelhead, and Timberman 70.3 races, while keeping her roots fresh with the Philadelphia Olympic and the Northeast Triathlon. When not training or racing, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing, bike racing, traveling, and wine tasting.
