Sharon is a commercial real estate lender, runner, and triathlete who lives in Lafayette Hill, PA. She grew up in central Pennsylvania and went to college at Bucknell University where she was a sprinter/hurdler on the Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field teams. She relocated to Philadelphia after college, began her career in the banking industry, and then received her MBA from Temple University. After watching a friend run the New York City Marathon, she got inspired to try distance-running and a marathon. She completed her first marathon (NYC) in 2004 and despite barely being able to walk afterwards, was hooked. Soon after starting marathons, Sharon also began competing in sprint triathlons, which provided nice cross-training for running. She competed in the Boston Marathon in 2006 and stepped up to her first Olympic-distance triathlon that year and the Half-Ironman distance the following year. Her 2008 season concluded with a 12th place age-group finish at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. When she’s not busy working, swimming, biking, or running, she enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, reading, and a good afternoon nap.
