Edward (Ed) Kuo moved to the Philadelphia area in 2007 after graduating university in Canada to start his career with a large actuarial consulting firm specializing in health and welfare benefits. Ed first experimented with middle distance running in university with his first 10km in 2003 but with no guidance, he never dedicated himself to the sport. It was not until 2007 when Ed moved to Philadelphia that he began training seriously under Richard Jacobson. Since 2007, Ed has completed several triathlons, road running races, trail running races, and in 2009, he dedicated most of his time to developing his cycling skills with different cycling events including criteriums, circuit races, road races, and time trials. Ed is a firm believer in power analysis on the bike and can be found analyzing the numbers in his spare time.
